Im thinking about trying to trade my 95 Warrior for a Banshee. A lot of people have told me that 2 strokes **** balls because of maitnence and crap, i know i have to mix the oil and basic stuff like that but when you really get into it whatelse is there. Anyone got pros and cons for a 2 stroke compared to a 4 stroke.

If you plan on riding in any state parks 2 strokes are no allowed. Yes maintenance is higher on the 2 strokes. Either get a yfz 450 or a raptor 700 efi, I have an 06 Raptor and just put a cam and exhaust on it and it was eating Banshees for lunch.

i dont want fuel injection and im not riding on state parks, and i dont need anything that big. All i got is my long *** driveway and a field at the moment. But raptors do look tastey. What kind of maitnence do i have to do is what i want to know. I need details lol.

change the oil and put gas in it, grease the springs and oh change tires about every 4-5 months . Never had a problem with my raptor besides when I went on deployment and came back the factory battery was shot from sitting with no charge for so long. Maintenance on a banshee will be a little more, just moping around on it will foul the plugs.

I greese my arms and change the oild and stuff now in my warrior, im talking about something specific to 2 Strokes. Why change the tires. Ill proly Get Holeshots and then a street tread on a seperate set of rims. I take my warrior all the way to 5th gear but as soon as i get to 5th i drop it down so pretty much itll be ran through the gears quick and back down whenever i ride it.

Soloxgt - Can you elaborate. i rode a blaster today but i didnt do anything different then i would do on the warrior.

I have to change the tires because of the torque of the raptor, ride one you will see. And a blaster is not fast lol, riding a Banshee or a Raptor or a yfz 450 is like going from a stock mustang v6 up to a cobra v8 is probably twice as fast. What he means by riding different is that there is so much power on bigger bore quads that riding is hard work.

Yeah i know. The blaster was fun though. Id take it for travel riding. MY warrior is a great bike, reliable and all but performance parts a little more expensive and i just love the look of banshees. I already knew About the torque and all. I dont really wheelie or anything though. The most tricks i do is a small junp every now and then and stoppie/front wheelies. Whatever you wanna call em.

Ill check out that site and see if it helps. Thanks.

im not into the atv's but for dirtbikes, i have had mine since 05 and have done little maintenance to the engine, just putting gas in it, keeping the air filter clean and changing the *****. fluid and it still runs pristine:thumbsup: ohh yea and what i have is an 05 ktm 200exc 2-stroke
