everyone... i just got my old system from my old car

put into my new car...

its basically three years old...

my speakers are 12" JBL's

i dont even know what except they came from

circuit city and i believe they were some sort of buy one

get on deal...

my amp is a kenwood... it says 600 watts which

i assume is peak power...

i did just get a new box when i got the install... its

just a dual 12" sealed box...

this is all running on my stock head unit... i dont want

to remove the head unit... its in a 2004 accord V6 EX...

the head unit has 6 disk in dash, XM, and the dual

climate zone built into it... plus ive got steering wheel

controls...

last night i took my car out for a good long drive listening

to the stereo and i decided that the speakers sound

kinda "farty"... they dont really "hit" they just kinda put

out loud bass-y muddy sounding bass...

ive managed to find the type r's for 109.99 a piece from

some place online called etronics . com they have

2 ohm and 4 ohm... i dont even know which i would need...

has anyone ever heard of this place??? what would be

a good place to get them... i know type r's usually go

for 199.99 a piece... what are other speakers that

are in this category of quality... how good is the quality???

am i nutz??? what might be a good amp to pair up with

them???

thanks guys... i am searching by the way... i just hoped

someone could shed some extra light to my specific

situation...
