im worried im getting Pwnt on an ipod screen i bought on ebay, i contacted the seller to see when it would be shipped and he sent me this

https://obc.canadapost.ca/emo/basicPin.do?trackingCode=PIN&action=query&trackingId=7210029000590438

he said he shipped it out on the 4th, but the tracking thing has said "shipping details electronically submitted" for 8 days now. am i getting screwed? i payed almost 120 dollars for the screen (it is a color screen for an ipod photo). anything i have ever ordered has come in less than 5 buisness days. could it be because it in canada? ive ordered things from canada though.

the dude had 99.9% positive feedback, and almost all of the feedback said "fast shipping"

am i just overreacting? or do you think im getting screwed?

I have no experience with Canada Post as I am not a Canadian but if Shipping Details Electronically Submitted from them means the same thing as it does to UPS and FedEx it means your seller has an online account with Canada Post and has transmitted the details of your shipment (box size and weight, intended destination, etc) to them to be given a shipping label (and most likely has already been billed for it as well) but that Canada Post does not physically have the package yet.

Going by that assumption and a 99.9% seller feedback profile I would say you're likely pretty safe and there's either some electronic snafu in CP's tracking system or your seller had some unexpected holdup in getting your package to the folks to send it to you.

Anything mailed from Canada will say that until it's out for delivery to you that day. Canada post sucks and it takes for ever to get to the US. I have mailed a few things to Cananada though USPS and it usually arrives in 5-7 days. The two items I have had mailed to me from Canada did not arrive for roughly 10-12 days.

The hardest part on installing iPod parts (such as the screen) is getting the case open. You have to use a verrry fine point flat head screw driver to make sure you don't bend the case or scratch it. You also have to find the exact point to put the tip in so the clips dont break. Then you need the tiny torq wrenches to take off the logic board... then you get to the screen and its pretty easy from there

i already got it open and everything, it was relatively easy, it just took a small screw driver and some patience.
