Short fried 1 channel on amp

I'm still not sure exactly what happened, but it looks like while drilling a screw in, to hold the wood to the door for my speaker, I hit a wire and something shorted. At first my power windows wouldn't work, the speaker wouldn't work, and the channel on the amp wasn't putting out any ac voltage. When I turned the key to accesorie mode, a small amount of smoke came out of the door. I got the windows to work fine, as well as the speaker now (On another channel on the amp), but the amps channel is still dead. Anyone know what the first thing to fry on the amp would be. And should I just send it back to the manufacturer to fix, or would it be pretty easy to do myself? Thanks.

Nevermind guys. I went out this morning (Now that I wasn't as pissed) and was looking over things. The channel is putting out again, but looks like the speaker got fried. Guess I just have to buy a new midbass speaker then.
