Shop owners/employees?

Who said anything about paying online prices or expecting discount? Not me...
I get it though maybe you have been burned by fools wasting your time or being unreasonable not know how to play the game...
Nope never been "burned". I don't play games with my company. I'm not sure where you live and how people are but I'm sorry for them.

Do you barter when you go to Walmart or at a restaurant? You suggestion of compairing is off by a long shot. If you are not sure on values and how they apply, well I'm sorry for you.
As everyone has told, you are wasting everyones time at a shop going shopping like your baying only ask to pay less. What I have done in the past was lower the sale price and raise labor cost so it equals out. Bottom line is, you should what you are trying to have given to you. I understand todays youth is much different but really is it that bad, my daughter knows better then that.
Yes actually I do. Places like Walmart best buy future shop will all do some sort of bartering if you know what you are doing. At a restaurant no that's diff those same principals do not apply.

What exactly does your daughter know?

My daughter was raised with high moral values and a strong since of right and wrong. She was also raised not to be a cheap ***. If you can not afford it move on. I'm very sorry that you lack any moral values. I can understand where being cheap comes in, but you are the type of people that remind me of some of my distant family...no that is not a good thing.

In the end each person is there own and how you are and your thoughts are based on how you were raised. So in fact it is not even your fault that your ideas are not what they should be.

So because someone questions a price they are cheap? If someone pays full sticker they are of high moral standards?

Great pearls of wisdom there...

This poor op is being torn apart for no reason. I see nothing wrong with a little haggling even if the price is supposedly set in stone. IMO with the economy we are in, brick and mortar shops need to be willing to haggle to combat the problem of showrooming. I'm not saying they should give up a lot or offer it immediately, but when you spend time with a customer and build a relationship with them, sometimes it take a little price incentive for them to bite.

Nope, I know exactly what you are taking about. In most cases clients like yourself do not end up at pur shop. While we have very competitive pricing, your a hindrance. You assume you have mythical gift to haggle. You don't.
Nope no gift cause sometimes it doesn't work lol...

I agree to an extent and have no issues when clients push for better pricing. Normally I only see that on larger builds and such. However they don't go in with that mind set and you can tell by how the conversation goes. If you come in and when you try and haggle the price and is thought out, it gets you less of anything. Shops require that profit to stay running most of the time. What we are harping on here is the op's method of thinking not the actual idea of getting the price dropped.

Again I am sorry you are not following this conversation. If you were my child I would lake time out to help you understand this a bit more. Not being negative here, just saying I'm not going to spend all not trying to help you understand what we are all talking about. It just seems to be going over your head.
