Shallow subwoofer questions.

I intend on installing some Infinity Kappa components, but need to find a shallow sub to fit below the rear seat of my Dodge Quadcab. I was looking at the Pioneer Premier 10" and 8", but they are 4 ohms instead of 2 ohms, which I'd prefer.

I was looking to use the Crunch PZI550.5, 5 channel amp, which delivers 125w x 4 and 200w x 1 @ 2 ohms. At 4 ohms the amp delivers 60w x 4 and 120w x 1.

Since I am limited in my choice of subs, what would be a solution? Sorry, this is the first time I've amped a vehicle, so bear with me. Correct me if I'm wrong; if I wired two 4 ohm subs in parallel, this would give me 2 ohms and achieve the desired 200w output from the subwoofer channel???

In my buddies Standard cab S10 we swapped out two Pioneer flat 12's for the Kicker CVT's and I was very impressed. We installed both in a 1.5cu sealed box. They sound very nice for being in such a small box.

You really should get the Kickers instead. You can get them in single 2ohm. So one will work great for your amp.

TO answer your other question. Wiring two 4ohm subs in parallel will net you a 2ohm load.

I was able to fit 3 10 JLw3v2's behind my seats

for your ? on ohm load to maximum amplifier output, your best bet would be to get a single sub that has a dual 4ohm voice coil. 200 watts is not a lot of power. Rockford Fosgate has a P3 shallow mount that is a 4 ohm dvc. the kicker cvr should fit as well. You do have a few options.
