Shallow-Mount Subwoofers

I am getting a box that 1.0 cubic foot and 5.25" in depth, so I need to find a shallow mount subwoofer that is less than 5.25" deep. I am running about 380 watts, and would prefer to get 1 12" but will get 1 10" to help it fit better.

My thoughs include:

Koda 10 http://www.adireaudio.com/StockProducts/raw_drivers.htm#KodaSub

Pioneer Premier® 12" Shallow-Mount Subwoofer http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pna/product/detail/0,,2076_4061_90400838,00.html

Memphis 10" power reference http://www.memphiscaraudio.com/public/Power%20Reference%20Coaxials%20&%20Subwoofers.pdf

i just got one of those pioneer shallow mount subs. i would have gotten something different, but i only have 4" of mounting depth, so my options were limited. just so you know, it only has 8.6mm of xmax. probably wouldn't be a good option for most people. i'd go for the koda, actually i would get a creative sounds 10" and save money.

All the 10 and 12 inch ED and ID subs are to deep. I talked to adire on the phone they said that the shiva would fit they also recommended the koda but I prefer to spend this than $200.

Thanks

1" magnets. . Do they even hit hard? usually the bigger the mag the more the bump.
Magnet thickness has extremely little to do with motor force. In fact, for a given amount of magnet material, you're better off making it as wide and thin as possible. Doubling the thickness of the magnet MAY get you 5-6% more motor force, if you're lucky... It just doesn't pay off to make them thick in the hopes of a stronger motor.

Thick magnets are used for two reasons: internal clearance (cheaper to use than steel) so the voice coil doesn't bang on the back plate, and looks.
