Alpine and JL have really good low-profile sub offerings. If you can spare a little depth the Sundown SD-3 series are a really good balance of low-profile, SQ, and high excursion...plus they require tiny sealed boxes.

the Dayton shallow subs are impressive imo. Make sure you don't overpower them and you will be fine

I have JL TW3s and I like them.. Stereo Integrity is coming out with their new shallow line and I guarantee they will slam.
