Shallow Mount Subs?

Is there a possibility of you having the rear seat lifted a few (2 or 3) inches? Massive gains in usable dimensions could open up massive gains in output, efficiency and bandwidth if that is physically or monetarily possible. What are the factors that might pose contingencies to a lift? Six-foot-five children, Shaq your second-best friend or is there a bumper sticker that reads "only 7' ******* for me" or "6'8 triplets or go home" that we have to work around?

I have seen it done with washers

*****, seen it done every which way but loose, but we've gotta find out if he's been told about this option or if he has a reason for not doing so. I use a tape measure to prove how easy it is to lift and not affect the field of view. Have them sit in the driver seat, look in the rear view and watch me raise the tape measure up until the tip is even with the top of the tailgate in his mirror. However much the tip extends above the top of the rear seat back-cushion is how far you can lift the seat and belt mounts before it impairs the operational view.
