far as battery goes....you can upgrade to a serious one, such as a batcap 3000.....but if your draw is a constant 1600-2300w, your factory alternator will never hold up. i recommend curing illness rather than treating symptoms. an alternator is a cure. produce the amperage rather than increase the size of the ice chest to store it. sooner or later if you are ******* more than you are replenishing it with......that ice chest will go dry and the inevitable will happen then, you only prolonged the time till failure.

Thats why you look at the build before you buy.

You don't need 2k anyway. Just get some nice 10s and a good underrated 1k am

If you have a soft top good luck keeping any bass inside the cabin.

Problem is I already have the crunch GP 1000w installed with dual 10" polk dbs

and I have an appointment at the audioshop to get my 2 13TW5s and JL J2-1000.1 amplifier installed on wednesday....

Is 2 custom boxes + amp wiring kit + amp install worth 500$?

Build a box google knuconcepts and get a kit. And do it yourself. It's not hard and since you already have a amp just trace the wiring and change it out. A shop will charge out the *** for a box. I guess your going sealed so get your measurements. Go to lowes and have them cut 3/4 mdf to size. Liquid nails and screws equals box

Compare that to $30bucks and a hour of work. IDK is it that bad.. Have you already waisted enough money or havent you? A sealed box is way to easy to build. Its 4 square peices of wood screwed together! If you need them to cut the holes out do that. Dont use terminals. Just drill holes large enough for the speaker wire and silicon around it

its not going to be a square its going to be a really abstract shape so it may be best to have the shop do it...I dont want to **** it up. It would be my first install...I would rather do my first with something not as precious as my tw5s

If you have a soft top you might be better off since you already have the drivers for it, put them under the front seats. If you do have a soft top or any top really for a wrangler, the bass is going to go everywhere. the plastic top wont hold anything in, the soft top will sound muffled and really messy

Not making fun but with your experiance level you will think anything sounds good but under the seats will give you the best effect

Ok, I will see if there is room for the 13tw5s under the seats. Thanks for the input. and no fun taken man, I appreciate your thoughts. Yeah it probably will, but then again it might not... when I first got the crunch and the polks I thought my car was shaking like crazy..and now I barely feel it... so yeah... Im hoping those 13tw5 will pack a bigger punch. Worst case scenario is I sell everything I have and start over....... maybe with like 4-6 memphis shallow 10" or something

2000 Jeep Wrangler with no trunk space, the trunk is occupied by my custom box for my dual 10" polk db subs... so tell me how do I have said "plenty of room"?
