Anyone have any recommendations on a shallow 6" mid? I plan on using it to replace a blown speaker in my dad's Toyota Sienna. He has the JBL system in it, and I'm hoping to replace this thing as cheap as possible.
How shallow is shallow? Are we talking less than 3", or less than 1.5"??
2nd, how cheap is cheap? Do you want just a mid, or co-axials? If you want just a mid, what impedance does it need to be and what frequency range will it play?

I'm hoping for it to be less than 3" in mounting depth. I'm really looking for a full range mid without the tweeter if at all possible. Cheapness? $30 or less for a pair //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
Well, there are quite a few full range speakers for under $30. Problem is, most of them would perform very poorly in a setup for car audio //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif
Why not just pick up a cheap set of co-axials?
PS: If you are just looking for *sound*, as opposed to *quality sound*, check out http://www.partsexpress.com. They have a lot of OEM equipment, which would include stock-style mids w/ whizzer cones for basically pennies. Won't win you any SQ awards.....but they'll recreate sound.
