Do taramps require a high output alternator?

My smart 3 is on stock alternator and doing fine however I am in the process of ordering a brand x alt just haven’t decided if I wanna be cheap and get a 250 or go balls out and get the 320

This guys never heard of taramps.

Sure have...didn't realize it was that brand thinking it was Sundown....since no mention of brand was said.

It was...and somehow I missed it.
