Setup Questions....

Hey guys, I'm a newb to caraudio but not to the forum system in general.

I just wanna know what you guys think about my system. Let me know( constructive critisism is nice)

-Alpine CDA-9820XM

-Hifonics Speakers/Tweeters

-Alpine 500 watt amp

-Dual Kicker Comp 10's(sealed box)

-8g power/ground

-larger battery

I'm not running a capaciter or anything special like that but i might if i upgrade my amp. Tell me how this sounds as far as setup goes. I'll have pics as soon as i can.

why 4?

i understand the fact that the larger the wire the lesat resistance it has to power flow but why 4 for a 500 watt amp?

Better to have more than enough that not enough in this scenario.

bc when you find out that the comp 10s on 500 watts is not enough you dont have to spend anymore money for bigger wire you already have it. BTW I ran 8awg to my ZX400.1 (birth sheet 485rms) and never had a problem. I had it powering 2 comp 12s in my truck.

If you are happy with the set up, keep it

if you wanna upgrade, only upgrade the parts you need

if you are going to buy an amp, then go upgrade your wires

no need to spend money just cuz

your new amp might need 0ga instead of 4ga
