I'm looking for an entire setup.

I prefer mid to higher stuff (Alpine, JBL, Boston, etc) but not super high like Focal, Dynaudio, Morel, etc.

Required:

(2) 6x9 2 or 3-ways

(2) 6.5 component set (mid & tweet)

Amp: prefer 5 channel but will consider 4 chan + 2 chan or mono

6x9 and 6.5 set must be matching make/model - more flexible on other items.

thx!

That is the biggest dissapointment with the MO. It looks like it is separate!

Have you looked at the Alpine Hub system? It looks like it might work... don't know anyone that has tried it though.

Are you on a member of NissanMurano.org ?

Why Bostons? I listened to the 6x9s and was not impressed... the Infinity's were much better in every way (more detailed, better tonal balance, etc). I did not listen to any Boston component sets... but then again, they are much more expensive and I'm skeptical as to whether I'd gain the cost difference benefit using the stock locations (I'm not going to mod the MO - so no custom work).

I might, not sure yet, add a 4 channel Alpine (or something equal) amp to run the doors speakers, and probably a single 8 or 10 sub -- JL Audio Stealthbox, or look into putting something in the rear side panel (hidden as much as possible) like an Infinity Kappa Perfect, or JL something, etc. I don't need competition, just clean.

I'm not spending too much... planning on $500 for all the equip.

probably Infinity Kappa 693.7I (front doors) and Infinity Kappa 62.7I (back doors) (approx $200 for all this)

Don't u wish we could replace the HU? I hate that fu*ker. Try to find some Bostons for your mids and highs. Forget the 6x9's, comps up front and comps or coax in the back.

I am a member of NM.org, under xconcepts. The headunit isn't seperate, many have looked into it on NM.org. I don't believe the Alpine will work either, you will still have to deal with the stock HU. I have only seen one person replace the HU and they did a custom fiberglass over the center console and only had a detachable aftermarket HU, I would love to get a indash dvd.

As far as the Bostons...I replaced my fronts with their 6 1/2 comps and love'm, btw no custom work. i was able to find a speaker adapter to make the 6.5's fit. I looked at the infinitys and since I had them in a previous car didn't feel they were that balanced and sounded distorted when I turned them up. The Bostons have been the best speaker I have heard for that price range. I haven't heard the Kappas though, I heard they are good for the price. If you are getting a sub don't worry about 6x9's in the front, replace them with 6.5's.

The Alpine amps are pretty good, I like them. I haven't hear to many good things though of the JL stealth box for the MO. I had to do a fiberglass enclosure for mine. If you don't mind having a visible box, just have a sealed or ported one made until you decide to spring for the custom fiberglass(Or do it yourself, plenty of how to's here). You will be much happier than with the stealth box.
