Setup for 04 Gto, 8's or 10's

Trying to help my friend out with his 04 gto. He wants some subs. He was looking at some cheap P3's and I told him no but there really isn't much room in the back at all. Mounting 10's or something on the sides because there is some hole space there. What kind of subs would be good for this?

For 1 don't waste your money on the RF subs. Second, I would do some measurements and determine the actual space you have to work with. Then, start looking around at different subs. How much power does he want to use? Does he want sealed or ported?

I have a set of IDQ 10's that that are out of my 06 GTO. Boxed and ready to install in the rear side panels.

These subs will not give you the earth shaking boomy bass, but give a very tight and controlled bass.

Here is my setup on my 06 GTO:

I upgraded all the speakers in the car and added 1 12" 12w3v3 in a custom fit fiberglass box. I get a ton of bass even with the gas tank back there. Doing the 10's inside is also sweet but mine was simple.
