I have two amps i'm trying to bridge on one sub. What is the best way to go about getting the gains set evenly? Should i use a rca splitter? or can i use the out put on one of the amps on full pass and be getting the same signal to both amps? How do i test with dmm?

and yes I'm a noooob

what amps? maybe they are strappable. I assume a dual coil sub right? If they aernt strappable I would get a maxxlink.http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?Source=googlebase&ProductID=20093

no they aren't strappable and yes its a dvc. what is that maxxlink? like a crossover? how can i be sure i'm getting the same rms out of both amps?

as for them being not strappable what I have done is just match the gains with my meter as good as i can and put one amp on each coil. Don't cross the streams. I have a clarion crossover that am going to use soon to adjust the gain with. I will match them then be able to use the bass knob off the crossover for adjustment later.

how do i match the gains on a meter? i know to play a test tone i just don't know what to set the meter on to check

usae a maxxlink, the gain controls on the amps no longer matter, the maxxlink is a master gain contol for multiple amplifiers
trying to throw this together tomorrow. This is just a simple set up for my girls car. just trying to match gains

No it's not. Two amps on one sub is not "simple" and not a good idea for noobs with a daily driver. I predict a very short life span for this system.Get one decent amp and install it correctly.
i got extra subs. I predict me smiling when something goes.
