is it necessary im only running a 2 volt preout hu.We got the volume to raise from 25 max to 30 max but had to fade the speakers to the rear -4.and then did the amp and hooked up everything and it got quiter for some reason. Is it necessary to do that with the head unit or no and why do i have to fade to the rear speakers and not be able to hear the front mids

thanks for answering cause it obvious what i meant can i just set the gains on the amp with the o-scope and just go by ear with the headunit.I really need to get a 4 volt or higher preout hu

okay sorry hard to explain.basically do you guys set your headunits by ear or with o-scopes.we did mine its only 2volt preouts.but when we did it clipped so i had to fade the front mids and its not loud anymore if that helps sorry max volume is 30 btw.

i also have stock interior speakers with a shitty sony headunit wondering if i upgrade the headunit is it gonna make a huge difference with the pre out voltage
