He has a 2003 crew cab Chevy Silverado

Just going to buy a prefab enclosure. There are a few different kind . some go under the back seat some go behind the back seat. He listens to rap music and Mexican stuff. hes looking something more SPL oriented.

There are some sealed boxes for 2 10s shallow mount sealed

And in enclosure for a single 10 ported that goes behind the seat

My recommendation to him was to get this

It says the mounting depth on that box is 7 inches. And only 4 inches on this sub. I'm wondering if he can do better on the subwoofer. and maybe not need a shallow mount?

Or do you think it would be louder and harder hitting with two subs sealed. Those would definitely be shallow mounts

There's a few other options.

Those subs will probably be beefier than the pics... I've never used them myself but a cast basket woofer with woven tinsels ... it looks solid. Prefab huh?.. I'd find a way to vent them myself... IDK but will this box fit?.. QBTRUCK210 VENTED - QPower ... I am unfamiliar with that truck.

kid i ordered cab for had under seat sub box was ok but he had crappy subs and amp he bought my 3.2cf dual 12 ported orion hp box removed back seat eventually got cab but still don't do much has horrible cabin cancelaton issues, debating box with side port.. anyway the underseat on may be best but the just have .95 cf per sub and mount depth problems.. so get best sub that'll fit and works in small space maybe sd is something to look at.. or that ported one if u can find some reviews on it and subs that may work in what will be 1.2cf ad at best ported box

If space was an issue, id have no qualms with 1 10 ported. Ive heard some good sounding trucks running 1 10 behind the seat.

The skar should do pretty good. It isnt a mind blowing sub, but worse could certainly be had.

That is assuming a quality ported box however. Sometimes sealed prefabs are better than ported prefabs with retarded specs

Yeah I now see that under seat is probably your only option... 2 10's is what I'd do... more cone area = vol. .. those subs only need .65 ea and are only $70 ea... fairly good reviews. Those installs/boxes are $$$ for the shops with a custom box.

I have used the 8" in a stock jeep box, and the 15 in a single cab, built a custom ported box for behind the seat, side fire port. I was impressed with both of them.

I would definitely run those subs again. Probably will soon
