separate battery

I was thinkin about runnin a separate battery to power my amp just for the ease of wiring and the guarantee of no light dimming.

Also was thinking about wiring the separate battery to the alt.

Good idea or no?

I always recommend using a battery isolator when running an additional battery just for the audio system. A battery isolator is basically a relay that, when wired correctly, allows your system to run off of the extra battery and the extra battery will get charged whenever the engine is running.

i dont use any isolators..

just wire them all parallel.
