Senate passes 800 billion dollar stimulus without 1 member readind the actual bill!!!

I embrace the label liberal. My first post in this thread started with "I'm a liberal from Texas and I drive a pickup." Not so much on democrat, but I'm definitely more on that side than the alternative.
It's nothing close to what mainstream media provides us with. Mainstream media has to dumb everything down for anyone to understand what they're talking about.

I've already spoken my piece about the budget outlined by Obama back a couple of pages. The cliff's notes version is, read an economics book, but it was much less derogatory.
this is liberal diseased thinking. control the news and information, because they think people are stupid. nobody cares what they think, and in order to supress info from the stupid, they supress it from the smart.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

Wrong. He enticed more spending than other republicans but this is an appropriately labeled incorrect statement.
he wasn't just liberal on spending, he was also liberal on some social policy. mccain was also for that matter. i give you the mexican/american border as an example. mccain actually proposed a bill in congress giving illegals virtual amnesty. you can't call anyone who would expand government to bush levels a conservative.

I've read economics books and not one leads me to believe that this is an appropriate form of action for A) the nation to recover and B) future economic expansion.

Now as arrogant as your post sounds, I'll dismiss it as your attempt to respectfully inform me of your argumentative basis.

1 or 2 things like this makes someone a non-party member?

I am pro-choice, does that make me non-conservative?

I do not ever recall at anytime in my life where media people swore to protect Obama:confused: never recall that for AN other president. Heck even the media turned on Clinton because of welfare reform and Travelgate:laugh:

so by your reasoning, obama could be a conservative. my biggest problem is the spending. no conservative in my mind could blow 350 billion dollars on tarp, and still be a conservative.

they threw clinton under the bus on welfare reform. he vetoed it twice before being pressured by a republican majority congress to sign. they refer to clinton as a "corporatist democrat", mostly because he didn't spend enough money.

Can you imagine the interest on 3.6 trillion dollars at 10%?

Let me see if I can calculate it.

Oh my god!! Will you stop putting your opinions/beliefs as fact? PLEASE?!
Check this out too: http://newsbusters.org/blogs/noel-sheppard/2007/11/07/weather-channel-founder-global-warming-greatest-scam-history

Don't even have to go to the library to read it. I hope you also understand the history of our planet and the global climate changes it goes through over time. I care about the issue, except I'm on the exact opposite side you are.

99% of any species/race of life to exist on this planet is extinct - fact.

Also, a point I'd like ot make is the amount of growth vegetation has seen with increases in CO2, directly. It's simply like almost anything in nature, it finds a way to balance it out. Vegetation is now growing faster because it consumes excess CO2 to produce more oxygen and grow substantially faster/larger.

Global warming is just a political card for liberals. Sure it might be an issue 10 million years from now but not in any of our lifetimes, or our children's, or childrens' children's.
You can get all outraged all you want. It doesn't change anyone's mind on an issue. As stated before. I'm speaking in concepts, hence the long winded responses. I simply don't have the time to go through and cite everything I say, and therefore, I'm not intended to present it as fact. Me listing websites all day long doesn't mean jack. I'm hoping to open some eyes, so people can then go and read about things themselvse. Just to counter your link, here's a quick refutation of John Coleman. http://www.uscentrist.org/about/issues/environment/john_coleman

I understand the climate graphs and carbon dating pretty well. "99% of any species/race of life to exist on this planet is extinct - fact." YEAH! And I'd rather not let us be one of them!

Vegetation might be increasing it's growth rate. I haven't seen anything showing that, but I'll accept it for the sake of argument. As we continue to expand and use more dirty sources of energy, nature can't keep up with us. It might be trying, but it's constantly 3 steps behind. If we leveled off, nature might be able to catch us, but right now we're on a runaway train.

We've had record setting year's nearly every year for the past 10 years. Even if you don't agree with anything the man says, watch Gore's film. I'm not saying it's all gospel truth by any stretch (he's trying to make a persuasive argument, so he leaves out stuff), but there's some pretty compelling evidence in there. And before you go off about Al Gore being full of it, he's not the sole guy running around making all this stuff up. Nearly every reputable scientist is saying the same thing. I'd really rather drop the global climate change subject as it's not relevent to the thread's initial topic. That's not conceding the point, but is a whole other can of worms, and the amount of information involved could fill a library.

when you max out 1 credit card, get a new 1, and transfer the balance to us.
Ah yes there is a very old saying about liberals hold true for the most part. You will never see one actually leading the way in charity donations, but if it is someone else's money they spend it like it is going out of style!

"Charitable with other people's money"

LOL how many scientists were fired because they felt there was no proof to global warming? I forget the guys name but within the last 2 weeks one was fired and his reply was "Global warming is made up so members in government can take more control in our lives"

:laugh:the great liberal, joe biden, gave a whopping 3% of his fortune to charity last year.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif i guess taxes must not be as big of a deal to the people who implement them. i wonder if the russians would agree?
