Senate passes 800 billion dollar stimulus without 1 member readind the actual bill!!!

"libbies" start with a winning concept, and then write the details to pass legislation. Conservatives start with details, and hope it forms into some kind of concept by vote time. Every great achievement we've made as a nation has been because of "radicals" and liberal philosophy. Our founders were the most radical people in the world in their time. Lincoln was a complete radical by turning the slaves loose. Teddy Roosevelt radically set aside land for national parks that could have been used for development. FDR spent us out of the depression (in 2 phases). Eisenhower spent tons of money to build our highway system. Clinton radically taxed the upper class to balance the budget.

The parties themselves are more suited to different roles. Liberals should be in power making progress, while Conservatives should apply the brakes if we start progressing too quickly for our own good. Right now we're in desperate need of progress.

When we come out of this recession, we'll have to quickly turn our attention to inflation, and we'll probably see interest rates up in the 7-8% range. Hence, apply the brakes.

Holy shit you're ****ing kidding me right? Stop spewing this shit as fact, it simply is not.

I see you're writing another 3 page reply, so I'll wait to comment this quote until I see your new reply.

that statement is false. i use global warming as an example. the libs have started the debate at the world ending, working backwards with their "science" to get a desired result. they live in a world of their own. an unrealistic world.
Global warming has real symptoms now, which was the initial cause of the further research that's lead to this conclusion. Ice melting isn't the problem, it's a symptom. I could give two flying rat's ***** about polar bears personally, but I'd like to be able to end my life without wearing a gas mask and radiation suit outdoors out of necessity. You've got the end result right though.

...and omg. You actually put quotes around the word science like it's some kind of evil thing that needs to be gotten rid of.

The unrealistic world is to deny global warming is occuring and potentially could be a serious problem. Check out Thomas Friedman's book "Hot, Flat, and Crowded" if you care. He makes a strong case for a green revolution with a total conservative perspective for the entire first 2/3 of the book which has hardly anything to do with species extinction or tree hugging. It's a fun read if you care about the issue.

liberals. obama and his administration hasn't started yet. any argument with a liberal, that they can't win, ends up with the other guy being a racist, or a hate monger. it's an argument stopper. political correctness is thought policing:fyi
Some liberals are totally guilt of that, just like some conservatives are guilty of the charge. I'm trying to get past the tit for tat arguments about knee-jerk politics and get to the meat of the issues. I admit, I've gone off that topic a couple of times over the last 3 or 4 pages, but keep trying to come back to it.

Political correctness is not thought policing. Political incorrectness wont get you sent to jail. That's a giant leap. I haven't resorted to out and out calling people hate mongers or racists. Earlier someone said something to the effect of "Obama is a re-****** (chuckle)." That's racist, and the only time I've used the word in this thread. In fact, you're perfectly free to be a hate monger or racist if you want without going to jail. It'd be nice if nobody was, but that's legislating morality, which is never a good idea. I agree, it's an argument stopper, and when you run into a liberal using that as their argument for a political purpose, they're not serving their mission very well.

Oh my god!! Will you stop putting your opinions/beliefs as fact? PLEASE?!

Check this out too: http://newsbusters.org/blogs/noel-sheppard/2007/11/07/weather-channel-founder-global-warming-greatest-scam-history

Don't even have to go to the library to read it. I hope you also understand the history of our planet and the global climate changes it goes through over time. I care about the issue, except I'm on the exact opposite side you are.

99% of any species/race of life to exist on this planet is extinct - fact.

Also, a point I'd like ot make is the amount of growth vegetation has seen with increases in CO2, directly. It's simply like almost anything in nature, it finds a way to balance it out. Vegetation is now growing faster because it consumes excess CO2 to produce more oxygen and grow substantially faster/larger.

Global warming is just a political card for liberals. Sure it might be an issue 10 million years from now but not in any of our lifetimes, or our children's, or childrens' children's.

wait. you misunderstand, or i didn't explain. global warming is real. i argue the human impact on global warming. example on their science: how long did you hear that melting ice caps would cause the oceans to rise? most of the ice at the north pole is under water. the oceans would actually fall due to the ices displacement, as we all know that ice expands. a pop can explodes in the freezer. they did the math on how many tons of pollution we put into the air, in realtive terms to how many cubic miles of atmosphere exists around the earth. it's a fraction of 1%. we contribute less green house gasses to the atmosphere with vehicles, then the beef industry does because of cow farts. and that info comes from a lefty website.

Those are true facts too. One theory on how the latest Ice age diminished was because of an underwater land slide on the Atlantic underwater shore of Europe, releasing some ungodly amount of methane gas into the atmosphere all at once. That's likely the most legitimate theory on how it ended, but in the end is just a theory.

Nature does more destructive things than humans do to "global warming."

Well common sense would put us in the dark ages within 100 years. You've got to look beyond "common" sense to solve complex problems. That method would have us moving from one fire to the other, creating bigger problems as we go. And what hasn't Obama owned up to in your eyes? If memory serves, everyone's been saying he's been all doom and gloom recently.

Agreed.

Not quite sure what that means, but I think we're in agreement that free trade isn't a good thing for America specifically. In theory, it IS a good thing, but only in the overal scale. The stronger economy drops some, while the weaker economy grows rapidly until they meet in the middle. Overall, more production is achieved, but at the cost of the stronger economy.

a winning cobination of what? LSD users? there is nothing they are doing that has not FAILED in the last 45 years. If not here in other countries.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

that's the liberal disease. their brains work backwards. they start at a desired destination, then work backwards to construct how it will go to get there. global warming is a perfect example.

dinosaurs must have been ultra farters and drove gas guzzlers to promote the global warming and cooling they caused...wonder what will happen on winter solstice 2012? LOL
i predict that none of us will care about much about anything except eating in 2012.

Ok, now I'm going back to comment on this quote:

First I'd like to point out HOW RIDICULOUS you look to anyone that can think for themselves (by that, I mean someone who discounts the opinions and reporting material of the MSM (main street media))

Every great achievement we've made as a nation has been because of "radicals" and liberal philosophy.
I'll quote something from Dane Cook.

Are you out of your ****ing mind?!
You have to be some kind of insane to think this, even worse to spew it in a public forum. Every great achievement? REALLY?! Sure some great things have been done on both sides, but to say every great achievement and then list 3 by liberal leaders is a loaded response to further your beliefs.

Believe it or no, a great achievement was protecting the American People for 7 years after the latest terrorist attack, done by the ever-so-hates G.W.Bush. Bush has also helped soverign African nations more than ANY one person or organization, ever. Seems you forgot to mention those 2 things of late.

"libbies" winning concepts? You are outside of your mind. You understand what the CRA is? Community Reinvestment Act by Jimmy Carter in 1977. Bill Clinton later started pushing enforcement, and latest, the recent Democratically controlled congress enforced it further.

What did that do to us you might ask?

Well, what it states was to put people who cannot afford to own a house, the right to a public sector financed loan to purchase a home. This was enforced by congress (of the 90's) and of late as well. These are called subprime mortgages, because they are sub-prime, or below a prime mortgage.

Now, congress forced public banks to lend these loans. Multiple times, banks were sued by the Federal Government because the banks were not filling their quota of subprime loans. Guess who one of those lawyers were? Your lovely liberal president.

Guess what caused the housing bubble? An introduction of new buyers into the real estate market that were not there before. Supply/demand economics. More homes are demanded, prices increase and that leaves us with a monumental bubble, which when it popped, gave us this recession we have currently.

Now where in this do you consider the "libbies" winning concepts?
