Geez, ya think?"The market is reassessing just how ephemeral all the growth over that period has been," said hedge-fund manager Doug Kass, of Seabreeze Partners Management in Palm Beach, Fla. "It turns out that, if not for the credit bubble, we probably would've had relatively modest growth," in the economy as a whole, in corporate profits, and in share prices.
Doods a fukn genious

Read article i linked? What I was talking about was in direct correlation to a factory leaving my area...the factory my mother works for did away with automotive seat foam and carpet. That factory is in Mexico now..in my area that factory location lost 460 jobs by itself:laugh: What about Eaton? they had at least 2 factories close that went to Mexico and the other Canada (all in my area!) I do not even have to go to the bigger county south of me to get a negitive impact. Navistar, GE......I am sure there is more. Each one of those places had someone I was related to who lost a job because they were having a factory in Mexico take its place.Just like you've posted factual evidence of it impacting jobs.

You want to blame NAFTA for everything, go ahead and add in Bush's trading policy with China to that list and then I would be inclined to agree. NAFTA helped fuck this country's manufacturing sector, but allowing a country that has NO REGARD for any kind of wages, working conditions, or even for copyright infringement, and you are willing to let them build everything just for the sake of cheaper goods, then you are asking for what we currently have these days in the manufacturing business. Just go to your local Wal-Mart and look through the recalls. How many of those recalls were made in China?
See my point?
