Selling car with system... Am I crazy for doing this?

If you're not attached to the equipment and you think you would only make 250 selling it outright I would just leave it in there. Like you said it could help motivate the buyer to purchase the vehicle however I wouldnt stress it too much.

also, what about that soundstream amp? is that one of the older ones or newer ones?

That was the older series that gave them the nickname of Smokestream. I was lucky with the power supply holding up on that amp, but, every time I touched a GD switch, I had to pull the amp apart and replace it. I pity the buyer of my car if they start messing with the switches.

I'll offer to take it out if they don't want it. Sadly, it won't change the price any. When I sold my 2000 Accord EX V6 coupe in 2006, this high school kid's father purchased it as a present for him. I left an Alpine deck and the after market door speakers, 6x9s, as well as a pair of Punch 250a2s in the car when I sold it. Kid was happy as could be to get the car with all that stuff.

I would leave it in the car if I had means to buy more equipment. I figure that the kid would love a system without having to sell crack to get one, or jack yours... Stock is in closet in case I trade the car in to dealer. Otherwise, I put those up on craiglist . Other people who want to trade car in without aftermarket stereo would buy it cheap. I still have all my stock equipment. but after I install my comps, I will have to purchase a cheap junk set incase I want to trade car in...

yea id leave it in i know round here it will help same with some 22s, i was happy just to have the power and rca wiires alerady ran when i bought my car..
