Ok I live in PA and a possible buyer lives in NY what are the steps that need to be taken so that he can drive the car back to NY that day? I know I need to fill out the back of the title but what happens after that.

You need to find someone to notarize it. Id say you can probably take it to any dmv or wherever u xfer cars at where u live...and just get them to notarize it instead of transferring it.

USUALLY, you can sign over the title and date it.. If he gets pulled over THAT DAY all he needs is the title and bill of sale to get him home.
