Self discharge after installing kinetik battery

Will do. Also, correcting myself, as long as the min reading was at or above 9.6V, the car is supposed to start, however, mine did not.
Most cars won't start under 11 volts and most batteries voltage under 11.6 I think is damaging to the battery and will lose 50% capacity or is just completely no good and not worth trying to charge. But sometimes you will get lucky I would need to check with xs power to confirm this tho

Charged and Load tested both batteries, and the NAPA is the problem. I still believe it's b/c the Kinetik wasn't fully charged and was charging off of the NAPA. Anywho, I'm going to put a new (starter) battery under the hood. I've heard the Kinetiks aren't too good for starter batteries, as the heat makes them swell. So I believe I've narrowed it down to two batteries:

Autocraft Platinum AGM Battery, Group Size 78, 740 CCA

Optima Batteries RedTop Starting Battery, Group Size 34/78, 800 CCA

The Optima is about $30 more, but the cca's are much higher. I could pick up either locally. Any gripes or complaints about either?

Get the one with the most ah. Amp hours optimas usually aren't that good in system applications to
The ah on the Autocraft Platinum AGM is 60. The ah on the optima 34/78 red top is 50.

The reason I was considering the red top is because it has more cca/ca 800/1000. The Autocraft has 740 cca, and since I am using it as a starter battery, I figured it would be better to get the one with the higher cranking amps. Or does that even matter?

I'd get the one with the higher ah usually means it's a stronger battery. I'd look at the sears agm batts first tho

Sears has the DieHard Platinum Size 34/78DT which has :

Amp Hours at 20 Hour Rate: 68

Capacity Amp Hours at 10 Hour Rating: 62

Cold Cranking Amps (CCA at 0 deg.F): 850

Reserve Capacity (RC): 135

Just never had a DieHard. Is 62-68 good for the $199 range?
