Seek Next Not Working, Sony and Axxess

Hello everyone, I have a Sony MEX-BT2900 stereo, a Honda CRV 2009 vehicle, and an Axxess steering wheel control interface. For some reason, I can not get the seek next button on my steering wheel to work. The volume, mode, and seek previous all work. Any ideas? Anyone have this problem before?

I would try to hit the reset button on the hu to start with, and go from there

Reset did not work. I did notice an interested behavior though with the tuner. The seek previous does what you would expect and seeks on the radio, the seek next however performs the "next preset" function changing between my preset stations. So obviously my hu isn't translating my buttons correctly.

I would see if keep-hope-alive cuold help you out here..send him a pm..he is excellent with hu ..sounds like to me you have the wrong type of harness,yet..pm him,im sure he can help

do you have 4-speaker, 6-speaker, or 7-speaker with NAVI?

Given that you do get some functionality it leads me to believe that one of two things is going on:

1. you mixed up a dip-switch setting (which would cause this).

2. the Sony is not decoding properly.

Sony is an unforgiving brand, and they lack quality control and consistency.

I have 4 speakers.

I am not sure what a dip switch is, but I have followed the guide from the Axxess website.

black -> ground

Red -> Power

Red/Grey -> Pin 7

Pin6 -> Ground

Does that sound right?
