Your boxes may be heavy enough not to move under normal driving conditions, but the possibility is always out there that you could get hit in the head with it if you get into an accident.

Thats because its nearly useless. Keeps it from sliding horizontally, thats it.

i got some velcro on mine and it works perfect

x2 on the high strength velcro.. makes it easier to take in and out when needed

Just beacuse its heavy don't it won't go flying in an accident. I buddy of mine just missed being badly hurt from a fling sub box in an acident. he had in it in a SUV up against the back seat. The sub box broke his passenger seat and smashed his dash board. The accident wasn't in a major accident either. Be smart about it.
