Second battery compartment....? PICS!!!

This is the engine bay of a Tahoe. All the way to the bottom right of the picture is a storage space box... if I was to remove it, and put a second battery there, would it be better/as good as putting it all the way in the rear of the vehicle?

I would say its better less cable to run/spend money on!!!!. I have a 95 tahoe I just went to the stealership and bought a driverside battery tray so I could mount my second battery there instead of inside the truck.

Those generation Silverado's, Tahoe's, and Suburban's... it is widely popular to put a second battery there. Some came with two stock.

I was unsure as to whether it was a good idea or not. Running a second battery like that.

And its not my enginebay... found it on teh GewguhLz..!11!

I'm not sure if this is what you mean, but your wanting to compare the efficiency of putting the second battery up front as to having it in the rear? Is this what you mean?

Or am I wrong?

Make sure to loom and secure your wire between the batteries.

I'd say it would be better in the back....shorter distance for the current to travel from the second battery...

the dual batteries come with diesels

not uncommon for one battery to be a yellow top/deep cycle and run hydropumps or similar
