Seattle Civic Audio Help

So I have a 2008 Civic LX and the audio has gotten really muddy and just isn't clear at all. I have to max the volume just to get it loud enough. I like the idea of a Dolby/DTS THX type system. I love my THX logitech speakers.

I want to replace all of my speakers and the sub and install a new amp. I want to keep the look of the car the same or close, so I dont want a new dash or anything in that regard. I am overwhelmed by all the speakers and options so I dont know what to do. I dont want to buy speakers in a shop because they are overpriced usually, but I also dont know what to get. I need clear, crisp and smooth sound at high and low volume. Listen to pop, electronic, and vocals. Im not a gangster either...

Does anyone know a good place in the Seattle/bellevue area to go that will install the speakers for me and maybe help me choose some to buy online or in the store if there are descent deals? or any tips/ideas.

Hey whats up. and lol @ ******* Bob!

Anyway few things here, what is your budget? I assume you want to keep your stock HU so with that in mind you are going to need to get a device that turns your speaker output voltage into preamp voltage in order to run an aftermarket amplifier.

There are a couple of good shops around the Bellevue/Seattle Area but again budget is key here.

Let's go with best bang for my buck. I want to keep the stock look but keep the car modern and stylish with speakers. I don't want to have to do it again. So maybe a grand max, prefer less but I know how components add up. I'd prefer to buy parts online to avoid tax and overpriced in store stuff.

Do me a favor, spend the time and find out what size speakers you have in your Honda and send me a PM.

My friend just did his wifes 2005 Civic with all Hybrid Audio speakers and an Infinity 5 channel amplifier (aftermaket deck and major processing) and it sounds amazing for a low power semi budget build.

For a grand your options are slighly limited but not out of the relm of possiblities. Most of your cost is going to be install fee's.

What do I have to do to measure them? How much do you think install will cost? I don't think I want an aftermarket deck. I want to keep the stock knobs and display.

I would just google your car and see if you cannot find that information online without having to go out and measure it also that would require you taking door panels off ect ect.

I know the 05 civic has 5" doors, 1" tweeters in the sail and 2 6x9's in the rear deck.
