you could do something like:

Dcon or DC lvl2 12 inch for $150ish

refurbished kicker zx300.1 amp $100-120

pre-fab sealed box for $40ish (or build a box If u can)

buy used and save

Box: sealed prefab. Make sure you seal it up some more.

You can swap out the sub for something else (bigger) but either get 2 d4's, 2 d1's, or 1 d2 sub to match that amp. You can get a new 15" Orion Xtr pro d2 for under $150. 12 and 10 inch even less. Also you could get 2 of the regular xtr 10's for $140.

depends what loud is to him.... to me loud is 142+...for him it may be a 120 or 130...... its all in prefrence. but OP i have 2 12 inch bxi's if you want to take a look at them. 3'' dvc and 20lb motor... hmu if you're interested

OP, get an APSM-1300 (1000w @ 1 ohm), audiopipe TXXBF12 (triple stacked motor, 4" coil), go to lowes or HD and get a sheet of MDF for $30 and build up a box using a design from one of the members on here.

What is the best sub for around $100?

I've heard an Xtr pro 10 in a sealed box on 500 wrms and it was decently loud. You can get them for like $115 new.

Even with the apsm-1300 this would be over budget after box and wiring but boy would it slam.
