ok so after i drill a hole and run the wire do i just use silicone caulking to seal the hole?

X2^^^ buy a 30 cent rubber grommet to run the wire through so the sharp edges of the drilled hole doesn't cut into your power wire--then silicone it

yea but when i went to home depot the dude was like wtf is a rubber grommet we have metal grommets but not rubber so were do i get one?

sure, or rubber grommet, to prevent accidental leakage/discharge.

Go to any place like Autozone, they will have rubber grommets there for sure.

best thing to do is to take a small piece of power wire with you and go to auto parts or almost any hardware store and get the one that fits best.

Here's how I did it:

The smaller (red) wire went through the big rubber grommet where the radio antenna wire comes through the firewall (note the silcone sealant). The larger (blue) wire has a smaller grommet where I drilled through the firewall. Get a grommet that has a fairly snug fit around the wire. Any auto parts store should have one. Mine came in this kit.
