sealed or ported?

im debating to either go a sealed enclosure or ported enclosure for a 13w7 in a 1999 honda accord. anybody have any suggestions? im kindof leaning towards the ported but not too sure yet

Do you like loud bass? Go ported.

Do you like a driver to produce bass that blends well with your speakers? Go sealed.

Sealed = smoother response and less output. Ported= peaky and more output at certain frequencies. For daily I prefer sealed. For a single sub it should be easy to model both.

i want the spl but at the same time good sq...i have a jl 1000/1 amp to power this. ive never had a ported enclosure and thats why im kind of leaning towards that but if sealed is goin to make it sound better then ill go that wya..i want a balance of sq and spl

Go with a port at low tune 30-33 hz this should really bring the sub alive for the stuff you want to feel.

ok. well i found a ported enclosure at 34.59 hz...that should be ok
