sealed box vs ported

I have two kicker 15inch comps in a sealed box i have heard many mixed reviews about this. Was wanting to know if it is bad to take these subs out of a sealed enclosure and put them in a new ported enclosure will this be BAD for the subwoofers?

No problem. The Dayton ultimax is one of the better sounding sealed subs I’ve heard. I kinda want to try the 18 in my ride.
