Sealed box too big..... what happens?

I have my idmax 12" in 2.5cuft sealed. It isnt very impressive i wouldnt say. For drum and bass it works well, but for rap it is not good. There are 6 tiny screw holes in the box that are not covered as well.

Does the box being to big have anything to do with why it isnt up to par?

haha wow!!! yes i know it was for a 15", but i put a baffle for a 12" on there for short term. I figured it would be alright considering you can IB the IDMAX.

gorilla tape some two liter drank bottles inside the box to take up some space.....

Yeah i was going to just glue some wood in there its just i dont have any the same size and i wouldnt want to reduce the size of any of the wood. Then the only problem with my wood idea is i would have no idea how much space i am taking up.

About how much space would two 2L bottles take up? In terms of cubic feet if possible.

yea, you can simply fill those holes and screw a piece of 2x4 or some other object inside of it to cut down on airspace..

2L bottles would be WAY better considering it would add no weigh i just need to figure like a liter to cubic feet...

just experiment with it, see what you like. worst thing that can happen is you dont like it and take one out.

haha yeah i just checked out a calculator and i would need more than like 5 2L bottles to even take up any space at all it seems.... I dont know i guess ill go drink a bunch of soda tomorrow and see what happens.
