Hey all, Okay so i had a 2.2 @ 30 box for my IDMax and it sounded great but i needed more trunk space so now i have a very nice sealed box but it seems too big. The sub bottoms out bad at high levels. I'm almost positive it is the box being too big, but what can i do to take up some of the space inside? Any suggestions

Should be somewhere between 1.3 and 1.5 cu/ft net ideally. Are you hearing a loud clanking or clicking sound at higher excursions? Both of my IDMAXs did that, one worse than the other. The answer I found was a misaligned voice from improper break-in or pushing on the cone of the sub. I sold them both.

1.5 including the displacement of the woofer is what I use. The sub has alot of excursion and can be used IB as well. You just have to remember when using in a larger box than 1.5 you will need to reduce power.
