Tweats in the trunk actually HELP with staging...

This is kinda weird.

For those of you who have ever worked with Mustangs (new ones, atleast) you know the large black panel that the speakers rest in, it's it fairly unnesscacary. I mean, with it in, it leaves 9" in height for subs, without, 15".

So, I dropped it down and out today, and was working on putting tyhe stock mids and tweats back in. I got the mids in with 6"x3/4" sheetmetal screws no problem, but the hole for the tweats were too big.

I figure "Eh, what the hell" and mount them where I have my amp for my doors mounted (Basically, 2 2x4's painted a glossy black until I get my subs, so I can mount them to my box)

Keep in mind that these are only running off the HU, as for somereason it bypasses the stock amps (Completely unhooked them and got the same quality/volume)

They actually sound BETTER in the trunk! You can barely hear them to begin with, but even if you're walking around it, it's MUCH more balanced.

Will I be keeping them in there when I get my subs? No, atleast, don't see a reason why.
