Scratchy sound in subs when turned down?

When i have my system turned down to like 7 or 6, the subs kinda pop or sound like something is scratching them. I have no clue what this is? could be that it is blown or partially blown. check that first.

The amp or subs? The amp is a PA a3000db and i've had it for a day. Works fine any other time but just when its turned down it does it every once in awhile. And if its my subs, then i've only used them for about 8 days. Plus when i touch it sometimes it will make a little sound. Popping or something...maybe thats normal i duno.
