Scammed need help

Ok on pbnation i bought an ipod from a guy and turns out i wasnt the only one to paypal the guy the money for it, so me and the guy who sent him money both filed complaints and the other guy get his money back he said they transferred it from his credit card to his account for him but they told me they couldnt give me my money what do i do?

What paypal said

After careful review, we have determined that the seller is at fault but

regret to inform you that we were unable to recover any funds from the

seller's account. As stated in the PayPal User Agreement, recovery of funds

associated with a Buyer Complaint cannot be guaranteed.

That's the problem with paypal. 9 times out of 10, you're SOL. This has happened to me 4-5 times the past few years. That's why its always good to deal with sellers with good reputation (ie: 200+ pos feedback over 99.5% positive rating).

Yea i know, this is my first time and the guy seemed legit i talked to him a long time before i ever sent the cash. But why would they transfer the cash from his card for one guy but not for me?

paypal to me isnt as secure as most people think, id try staying on paypals *** bout it and try getting the funds abck

you may still get it. I had a problem where i purchased something from someone that never came. So i filed a claim with paypal and after the review period was over they said they could only recover for me about $10 from the other guy. That left about $16 that they didnt get back for me. But it wasnt a whole lot of money so i didnt really pursue it. About another week later they said they were able to finish recovering the rest of my money and credited my account. So i guess they just wait for that person to actually have money avail.

Well maybe that will work too but they told me they couldnt get my money from his account, but they gave the other guy his money back but didnt take it from the scammers account they took it from his credit card. so im just mad cause they didnt try and do the same for me.

Did you contact the seller directly and ask him for a refund since you never got your iPod?

I just sent them an email, yes ive tried contacting the seller he doesnt answer

How much money are you out? Probably enough to not just let it go, since it was an iPod.

Definitely try to get your money out of Paypal - push and push until they tell you to **** off.

Emails aren't good enough for paypal. Call thier customer service number...
