Same sub, 2 diff. boxes in diff. spots??

I have two Alpine SWS-1043D 10" (DVC 4ohm) subs.

One is currently in a 1.0 cu-ft sealed box under the rear seat facing up at the back of my driver's seat:

I'm thinking about making another 1.0 cu-ft sealed box, different dimensions but same volume, that would sit on the back seat.

Your opinion, scale of 1 to 10 (1 = stupid idiot, 10 = super-dooper-great)

(Oh, and yes I'm aware that the amp's power to each will split)

If they are the same drivers in the same volume of box in theory you should gain 3db.
