Safe to run this amp??

I have to put it under the seat of my truck and the sub will be in a 1.2 sealed until I can buy a custom tuned box to fit in my truck.

The amp should be fine just use good wire with good connections and contact points. You can set the Boston to put out 300w if you like but me personally I would use another 50-100w without worry long as I know the headunit is putting out clean signal an the amp isn't clipping. That box will be fine but the dcons really come alive ported.

I bought the Boston !!!!!! Will my stock 80 amp alternator (brand new alt old one just went out after 290,000 miles) be fine

Class d(mono blocks) have better cooling
Lol, you serious bro? Because this is a dumb statement.

OP, you will be fine running that BA amp. It will get warm, amps do that, but you won't have to worry about resistance causing problems. Just do the big 3 and you shouldn't have problems.

majority do so what are you referring to being dumb?

Better cooling. Class AB and class D amps usually have the same cooling potential from the same manufacturer, but if there is a difference, a high power AB amp will have higher cooling potential than a high power D amp, out of necessity. Class D run cooler because they are more efficient by circuit design, which I think is what you were trying to say. But you didn't, which made your statement dumb.

Congratz on your purchase, you wont regret it! You will be fine electrical wise, but it does not hurt to do the big three.
