sadly my lights still dim

after doing the big 3, adding a 180 amp alt, and a yellowtop battery, my lights still dim, not really much to ask here, just thought it was interesting, i thought for sure id be fine

i think i just discovered why, i didnt read that until i just got back, and i kinda spelt this not so strong burning smell leaving my port, Clipping maybe? its hard to tell because my box still smells like paint as well

yellowtop batteries arent that great from what ive heard... you're going to still get a voltage drop but it shouldnt go below battery resting voltage or around ~13v unless you get a big alternator. my 200amp ho alt cant keep up with my system but i dont go below 13.5volts at idle so its fine, a second battery will help too.

Yes, new yellowtops are garbage.

You can buy a decent dmm for 20 bucks. If you aren't comfortable setting gains by ear that's a much better route.
