Anyone who thinks a sub needs a "break-in" time is just getting taken for a ride by the manufacturer. When people hear "break-in period" they think you need to play it at less than recommended power at a certain freq. or whatever. Its all bs:fyi:
Of course a sub sounds better after the suspension loosens up, doesnt mean you only can throw 600 watts to a 1200 watt sub until its loosened up. Its really a play on words using "broke-in" because yes you can say a sub has been "broke-in" after you play it for so long and feel its loosened up, but no reason to go low power. Let that baby play.
