SA-8 v.2 Prototype Finally Done

Looks awesome man. good job. thats a huge a** to lolol. i like the looks of this one a little bit better, could you let us in on how much the pre-order price will be? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif so we know how much to save for 4 of them

in the one pix the pole looks welded to the backplate, is that just from plating?

looks like a nice sub, drawback no pole vent for sexxy time //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif

So you are going to redo the whole sa line or not? if so i think i might save some money for pre order of a 15 or an 18.

The SA-10/12/15 will remain the same for some time -- the next line up will get new frames when ready (no public info yet).

Yes, it's from plating -- it's all one piece //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Aesthetically speaking I like how the surround is sewed to the cone. It's somewhat unusual to see this. Overall, very impressive sub. Almost looks over-engineered for its purpose.

holy crap look at the motor haha are these going to be rated the same as the v1's or handle even more wattage?
Rating will remain the same -- mechanically they are more rugged. Thermally they are on-par (pretty much nobody thermally hurt an SA-8 ever).

Yup I replaced door speakers and just replaced rear speakers yesterday. What it was I had to adjust the crossovers

Actually, I was wrong, it was to go into his 1972 Currier! The 4runner just wasn't workable and he ended up getting a high performance motor...
