SA-10 daily use

Im thinking ill be going with the SA-10. Everyone seems to be on sundowns nuts and i cant find a reason why not. Itll go into a spec box im going to build for under my silverado's back seat. Im only going with one because i want to use have the underseat space for storage still. My plan is to make it look like a full box and have have a tray with padding to hopefully avoid rattling whats in there. I dont want to abuse the woofer but i dont want to under power it either. Its rated at 600, but everyone says it can handle much more. I dont want to give it much more, but i want to give it enough, if that makes sense. Also, at 1 ft^3 how should i tune this to 35hz? Slot, round, aero? Point the port towards the front? Thanks.

Are you down or side firing the port? Precision port would work just fine.

As for power, don't worry about everyone else. Those subs do very well with 600rms and will last for a very long time on that power.
