Why does the top have to be removable? You guys do know that MDF isn't indestructible, right?

Not a fan of the sub being used or it's price, but definitely a cool box. Should have killer output. I can't wait to see it done.

that style 6th order is called a parallel tuned 6th orderthe other one is called series tuned...when one ported chamber is playing into another ported chamber and u only see 1 port for al the bass to come out

Dealer cost was $1800 on it...it was just a short run/rare sub that they did, so in order to make up for all the tooling done on it they needed to make it expensive.

I know the insane amounts of gains that can be had from a 6th order and such....but i think you coulda got close with a normal ported box with aeros

i would have done some form of removable top, or double baffle over the sub and create a removable square in which u can yank ur sub.

other than that, nice build and hope it meats your expectations

Jeez, why is everyone so worried about the price? I got it and a NIB 3kw amp for $1000...pretty good price if you ask me. It's super efficient and can handle a ton of power, not many subs can claim both of those. Since I'm working with minimal power, the efficiency is really what turned me on about it...and the fact it has an EBP of ~90 so it loves ported and 6th order configurations.

It's my money, I certainly made the money, so let me spend it as I wish....I don't see anyone giving RE XXX, DD 9500, DC Level 5, or other $600 sub owners flack for spending that kind of money on a sub...
