Running Battery cable Thru Firewall

The weathers changing so I decided to go ahead and wire up my car before it gets too cold so I can slap in the rest when it gets here without freezing.

My question is how or what is the best way to run the power cable from the battery thru the firewall...I can't figure out how to do it. At the moment my wire ir being ran under the hood cavity thru a small opening that lead to the side of the door and into my car. I was told that this was a fire hazard.

look for an existing grommet that it might fit through or you might have to drill a hole

don't forget a grommet or use a firewall bushing.

Find the main electrical bundle under the hood (fuse box is easiest place to find it) and follow that. Wherever it goes through the firewall, there should be a large rubber grommet.
