Cool thats long the lines of what I am planning. I just don't wanna hack up my relatively new truck too too much lol, otherwise I would go all out and probably put some 8's in my doors or something lol. Plenty of room just staring back at me.

Your truck is gonna be setup really nice when you get all the work done to it along with deadened and with some nice speakers. CA.com truckers unite lol.

I use the RS180's and Tang Band Neos pictured here. They go well together IMO...

Lots of HUs will run active, including a lot of Alpines. No double DINs will do it that I know of without another processor. For example, the Alpine IVA-W200/205 will do it but requires the H701 processor... you can control it from the deck though. As far as single DIN Alpines go, usually the highest model in a given year can do active... so, CDA-9815, CDA-9835, CDA-9855, CDA-9887, CDA-7998, CDA-7949, etc. The only down side to the 9855 is it used that gay GlideTouch technology that Alpine dropped after a single season. If you can find a 9835 or a 9887, get those instead.

Other brands do it too, including the Pioneer Premier DEH-P880PRS, and the DEH-P980BT. I am not super familiar with other brands, but I know Clarion and Eclipse both offer HUs that do active.

If you do get the XT25's I've found that boosting them at 12.5kHz really wakes them up as they're pretty laid back.

actually, the top 2 models from alpine for those given years can run active...

You thinkin double din in that dash? your goin all out eh. should be pretty sweet though. Best solution I know of for double din and active is a W200/205 and an H701. Thats what I was shooting for when I first started getting stuff for my truck. Seems to be quite a lot of people go for that setup and even if not more than that use an H701 in some form or another to get their processing.

yea man im goin all out... in a few years i hope this to be a complete show quality truck. im gettin the entire new cab repainted... gutting everything and everything sprayed. when i take off the cab im takin off the bed so ill be doing all of the underbody clean up as far as rust and repainting anything down there that needs it. Any one know how much the alpine combo runs?

kenwood, pioneer and eclipse have double dins that can run active. i have a kenwood and a bunch of my frends have kenwood double dins that have active capabilities.

yea im still feelin out all that i got to choose from. audio is still a couple months away
