Running a amp at 1/2 OHM .

he would rather strap two amps and run two ohm strapped which depending on the amp can be more efficient for instance an ia 20.1 in going to run more efficiently at a half ohm than that audiopipe his pic shows will run at two ohm. that audiopipe is essentially two ap1500d strapped in the same case. but some amps dont like low ohm loads and their efficiency drops exponentially

ok ok. I have 2 15's with dual 2 ohm coils. I can efficiently bring these down to 1/2 ohm, 2 ohms or 8 ohms. But not 1ohm... Correct?

i would never run one of those amps at 1/2ohm daily.... now for burps or competitions. go for it.... ... just be prepared to see some magic smoke if you dont have the electrical to back it up.........

Skar doesn't make a 2500, just a 1500 and a 4500.

OP I personally don't suggest running amps at .5 daily unless you have very good electrical or have some fans to keep it cool. I'm running my 2200 @ .5 daily and even with keeping my voltage above 13v the amp still gets pretty warm.

Agreed, I'd run them at 2 ohms and call it good if it's just a daily setup.

Half ohm is incredibly inefficient and stressful on your amp. Good luck with that.
