What amp to get for 1 Sundown Audio SA-12?

I am getting ready to pull the trigger on a SA-12 to install in an 08 jeep commander. I already have a 0 gauge knukonceptz amp kit ran. I still need to have a box built. But I would like to go ahead and figure out what to get as far as an amp goes. I would like to spend between $150-$200. Less is better, but if it is worth it to spend a bit more thats fine too. Not really sure what to look for exactly. Any suggestions?

spend a bit more and pick up one of the saz 1500's around here.

I haven't really decided on D2 or D4, figured I would try to find an amp that matched well before setting it in stone.

You can get something like an AQ1200 used for a little over 200. Plenty of options in the classifieds if you are willing to buy used. If you get 1200-1500 watts @ 1ohm, get a D4 and wire to 2ohm. That will give you the power you need now and the option to add another subwoofer later if you want.

That SA, or a D1 or D2 LVL 3 or 4 on that amp would be some good stuff.

I'm between the AQ1200 and the SAZ-1500 right now. I would love to go with the SAZ-1500 as it looks like a great amp, but it will depend on if I can find one for the right price or not. I have searched around a bit, but are there any good guides on how to fine tune these amps after you install them? I have a DMM and could utilize that if needed. Thanks!

That B2 Audio Quota @quackhead mentioned would be a great amp for you. Cheaper than the AQ1200 and way cheaper than the Sundown.

I searched around for a used one but had no luck. I am able to find the AQ1200 for $220, and was seeing the Sundown for around $300. Of the three would the B2 be better? I don't mind spending a tad more for higher quality.

They're all great amps. The Sundown might have an edge due to a larger power supply and probably better protection. It's huge in comparison. You won't see a ton of difference in output from it though.

I love Sundown, I've just never had very good luck with their amps. About 9 trillion people swear by them though. The B2 is also only $250 brand new.
