Running 2 T10001BD amps to 2 15" subs...how do I sync the amps???

Hello all. I am gonna put 2 Rockford T2 15" subs in my Suburban. Now, I have ONE T10001BD amp that I've been using for the last 3 or 4 years on various setups. I am going to be buying one more amp (running one amp at 1 ohm to each 2 ohm sub). I would like to know how you synchronize the amps so one amp isn't putting out more power than the other amp. I know there is a BD Sync cable that you can buy, but I haven't seen any good explanation about how that works.

I know the easy way here is to just get a T20001BD and 2 dual 4 ohm subs and I'll be set with 1000+ watts RMS to each sub at 1 ohm, buuuuut I would really rather spend that extra $300-$400 difference between the 1000 and 2000 on something else, like the speaker amp (T8004).

Thanks guys:D

yes you use a volt meter with out the subs connected and adjust the gain till each amp puts out the same voltage. burn a 50hz tone (looped) to a cd so that you have a steady signal or it wont work. you can use a dif hz tone but 50hz is the most common in my experience.

each amp will put out 1000 rms at a 1 ohm load as those subs only come as 2 ohm dvc

when u test the speaker output to sync the amps you will want about 44 - 45 volts a/c keep both amps within 1 volt of each other and you will be perfect. if you dont get 44 but get 42 or more you will still be right around 900 wrms (44.7 = 1000 watts)

Thank you very much!!! That is just what I needed!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif:D

Also, They do make those subs in dual 4 ohm...

T215D4 is a dual 4 ohm T2 15"

T215D2 is a dual 2 ohm T2 15"

Update...I am gonna buy FI BL 15" subs, fully loaded of course, as soon as FI's website will work. I can't get the BL purchase page to load for some dumb reason.
